Prominent Pastor, Pastor E.A Adeboye hits 1 million likes on Facebook

it seems to be the “1 million” season in Nigeria as prominent Nigerian Pastor, Pastor E.A. Adeboye recently hit the 1 million likes mark on Facebook.  Only a few weeks ago, popular Nigerian online forum, Nairaland also hit the 1 million member mark.
Adeboye is one of many popular Nigerian personalities with strong social media followings on Facebook including Nigerian actress, Omotola Jolade Ekeinde as well as President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria.
Other popular personalities on the social networking platform in Africa include Egyptian activist, Wael Ghonim as well as South Africa’s Nelson Mandela who has over 1.2 million followers.
The rising social media following of various African personalities points to the increasing adoption of social media platforms on the continent.
